Shelly BLU Door/Window, white

The Shelly BLU Door & Window Sensor is a new product from a European manufacturer, released at the end of June 2023. It is a very small, battery-powered door/window sensor using Bluetooth technology.

The device can connect to a Shelly Plus or Shelly Pro relay module via Bluetooth and use it to link with other Shelly devices in the local network or over the internet. It is also equipped with a light sensor, allowing automation to turn on lights only when the door is opened in low-light conditions.

With a built-in tilt sensor, it can also be mounted on sliding windows and doors, enabling automation based on tilt angle, distinguishing between opening and closing actions.

The sensor can be attached to a door or window using the included double-sided adhesive tape.

According to factory specifications, the Bluetooth range is up to 10 meters indoors and up to 30 meters outdoors, where it can be paired and controlled with a Shelly Plus or Pro relay module used as a Bluetooth gateway.

By default, the device instantly sends information about the open/closed state, brightness level, and battery status when a state change occurs. It also transmits tilt angle data a few seconds later.

When switched to beacon mode, it sends open/closed status, tilt angle, brightness level, and battery status every 30 seconds, which may reduce battery life.

The device is compatible with Shelly’s Bluetooth smart home system, including Shelly Plus and Pro series relay modules, and can be paired using the Shelly Smart Control app. It is also compatible with other devices and platforms that support the Shelly BLU Door & Window Sensor's BTHome protocol.
